Key Benefits of the Proposals

Create an enduring, healthy neighbourhood

The development will encourage sustainable lifestyles by prioritising walkable neighbourhoods. It will support low-carbon living and reduce reliance on private vehicles.

The proposed development will help meet local housing needs together with a new, on-site Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG). The SANG will provide an attractive, publicly accessible, local recreational area to help mitigate pressures on the Chilterns Beechwoods Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

The proposals will also enhance the on-site public rights of way, improving links towards Ascott House and the Scheduled Monument including a SANG path through the Schedule Monument field.

Nature recovery and biodiversity net gain

Ecological value will be enhanced through the creation and integration of green and blue networks throughout the site. These networks will connect habitats, support local wildlife and improve biodiversity.

Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) will be implemented throughout the site as part of the drainage strategy. SuDS play an important role in managing surface water by mimicking natural drainage processes and contributing to the climate resilience of the proposals.

Character and Identity

The development will establish a benchmark for housing design in Wing, reflecting the area's historic character and creating a distinctive sense of place guided by local design precedents.

Legacy and Identity

We will work closely with local representatives and stakeholders to ensure the development delivers a lasting, positive legacy. Contributions to support local infrastructure will be agreed in consultation with Buckinghamshire Council to ensure the development meets the needs of both current and future residents.

Homes and opportunities for all

The development will deliver sustainable homes, conveniently located with easy access to the village centre, promoting a sense of community and encouraging active, low-carbon lifestyles.

A variety of housing options will be provided, catering for people at different stages of life, including young people, older residents, first-time buyers, and families. This will include 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-and 5-bedroom homes, 40% affordable, 6x M4(3) compliant homes for wheelchair users and a collection of bungalows.
